• Our Mission

At the Assuaged Foundation, we harness the transformative power of education, mentorship, and community to catalyze profound change.

Our mission is twofold: to offer invaluable work experience to marginalized 'at-risk' college and high-school students while spearheading advancements in public health.

Through our dynamic programs, we actively combat chronic diseases, empower students with expansive growth opportunities, and cultivate healthier habits, thereby amplifying their competitiveness in the job marketplace.

Join us in our commitment to forging a healthier, more equitable future for all.

  • Our History

Introducing the Assuaged Foundation, a visionary 501(c)(3) non-profit established in 2017 by Thane and Cynthia Murphy, disabled entrepreneurs driven by their personal journey to holistic self-care. Inspired by their triumph over chronic illnesses, the Murphys envisioned a bridge between healthcare and self-care, leading to the birth of Assuaged.

Rooted in plant-based nutrition and wellness, our mission extends beyond personal wellness to empower marginalized 'at-risk' students. Through inclusive internship programs, we equip them with essential skills for success, fostering lasting impact in their lives and communities. Join us in creating a healthier, more inclusive future for all.

  • Our Team

Our dedicated board members represent a diverse tapestry of passionate individuals united by our shared cause.

From seasoned industry professionals to esteemed military veterans, and rehabilitating felons, each brings a wealth of unique expertise and perspective to our initiatives.

Together, we labor tirelessly to champion and elevate the next generation of leaders, fostering a collaborative environment where every voice is valued and empowered.

  • Our Impact

Our impactful programs have provided mentorship and guidance to over 800 college and high-school students, unlocking doors to prestigious opportunities and laying a robust foundation for their future triumphs.

Notably, we've witnessed a remarkable 27% surge in employment rates among our former student interns, while our platform continues to extend its reach, amplifying public health awareness on a broad scale.

Stand with us as we continue to make waves of positive change and forge a path towards a brighter, more equitable future for marginalized 'at-risk' students worldwide.
